Tchankat - whisky, made in Gers!

Writer's picture: Gwendoline PerretGwendoline Perret

We were recently gifted this very special treat… great autumn nights ahead!

A Gasconha whisky, crafted in Laujuzan, Gers in France.

The cellar master of Maison Salamens noticed the region’s heavy production of corn and decided to use it to produced their first whisky - hence having more of a Bourbon flavour palette. @tchankat was born. The name comes from the Landes tchanqué shepherds, perched on stilts to watch over sheep.
